HI, I'M MELISSA EASLEY

I am the owner of Rhythm and Exposure Photography. In photography and in life I am drawn to vibrant color, happy energy, natural scenery and anything that has a great story.

I specialize in concert, event and lifestyle photography for small business, artists and families.

My favorite pictures tell a story. Life is not posed or scripted. Sometimes, its messy and unorganized. I feel that some of my best images are the ones where nobody is looking at the camera but rather connecting with one another.

Location

I am lucky to live in Charlotte, North Carolina. So close to the mountains and the beach all at the same time. It definitely makes for some gorgeous photo opportunities. I am originally from Chicago and love to travel. I look forward to my photography showing me the beauty all over the world.

Life

I am married to an amazing web developer named Jeff, and we have two children, two dogs, a bearded dragon and two turtles that often make appearances in my photos. I am a former educator, and educational advocate, and an elected member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board. I love being a photographer because the many aspects of my life often intersect within my photos.

When I'm not working, you will find me at a local venue listening to live music, scuba diving with friends, or having a relaxing day with a good book.
